Murder at Henbit Manor

Micah Kafka's first entry in the Adventures of Henry Pets series is available on Audible! Or on Amazon in paperback or Kindle.

Murder at Henbit Manor is a cozy, fair-play whodunit with a humorous, heartfelt tone, set in the fictional Verlorland Islands. Book 1 of The Adventures of Henry Pets, it will appeal to fans of Knives Out and Agatha Christie-style puzzle mysteries.

Jackson Ruck travels to the Verlorland Islands to retrieve his wayward older brother, Henry. But just as Jackson arrives, Henry's farcical career as a British private detective gets a serious boost when he lands the case of a murdered German woman with a massive estate.

Unable to watch his brother fail, Jackson joins Henry's investigation into the strange Henbit family. The victim left behind a contentious will, angry relatives, and a life full of secrets that Henry must unravel. When a second body appears, it becomes clear that more than Henry's career is at risk.

Every clue is on the page. Readers learn what Henry and Jackson learn, when they learn it, so they can solve the case right alongside them. In Verlorland, where the law welcomes amateur detectives and even makes room for last-minute courtroom drama, the classic detective story gets a playful twist.

Beneath the murder, this is a novel about brothers, family, and lost baggage.

The Adventures of Henry Pets continues with Death of a Metalhead (Book 2) and Isles of Mist (Book 3).
